In short, the company that was handling Disney's release of the new Star Wars soundtrack on vinyl did some server end stuff and canceled a preorder I placed for said prouct back in January. And then they tell me with a poorly done automated message - my email literally says "{custom_field_1} for {custom_field_2}" - *after* they opened the new preorders, which understandably sold out, probably within hours of it reopening.

What the hell is this? I hope this gets sorted out soon, because this is bullcrap, and it's gonna take more than the 30% code they gave me to make me happy.

Programs!
-Long time trying to get audacity to recognize lame
-Longer time getting Skype to load past username and then to recognize the account
-Longer time finding Windows Movie Maker bundled in Essentials 2012 because Microsoft ends stuff. Hangs on "preparing to install" until restart, fails first install, installs other half the second try.
-Longer time installing office 2007 from a disc and entering registration key at least 4 times due to frequent error cancellation, until a restart finally works
Multiple broken links on Microsoft site when looking for answers on this stuff.

Sure I don't use these often but dagnabbit it's the principle of the thing!

My desktop!
-Undo automatic bundling of open programs in favor of words so you can see what the windows are.
-Undo search bar's presence until start button is hit
-get out of here Cortana
-close out of every silly side thing on the start menu that stretches it way too far to the right
-Files back to where they were: requires sweet sweet time to transfer of course but I think I'll get it done tonight

Browsers!
-Firefox addons (the first and quickest thing of the bunch, had to play with classic theme settings)
-Internet Explorer is going out and Microsoft Edge automatically opens things. I can't figure out a desktop shortcut for this because it's a weird app thing.
-Frequent annoyance at the word "app" and how it has replaced the word program.

To do:
-Make everything as much like my old Vista as possible
-Get things not to automatically open on dumb programs
-Stick some tape over the webcam
-Where is "safely remove"
-Where is "open with..."
-Get better wallpapers than jacksepticeye which I put there just to annoy my bro
-I don't like the extra click it takes to shut down or lock, so what do about this
-Copy stuff from USBs and discs
-PDF (sigh)
-Peel stickers, black out letters in top right corner of the physical object itself. Preferably learn the ancient ninja art of cracking this thing open and replacing its buttonless touchpad with something better, but now I'm dreaming.

I promise I will find 3 good things to say about this after I'm done complaining, and since the adventure has just started there's sure to be more complaints.

Edit: I already thought of one...no longer needing a fan on my computer, which also opens a power spot. I would say no longer needing an external keyboard due to non-functioning keys on this one is a positive, but this is balanced out by my dislike for the new one's touchpad and needing to do something about that.

Because we are unfortunately at a point in time where the latest is not the best.

It's all downhill from Windows 7 basically. The only possible reason to get Windows 10 is to play those exclusive games like Killer Instinct, but you'll need a gaming PC for that

Actually is there a way to turn off tap click on this thing? That would solve the problem of left clicking when you're clearly right clicking.

Yes there is, so there goes my main complaint. I still think it's very dumb to not have separate buttons.

I also turned off scrolling while we're at it because it is annoying those times when you're trying to move the cursor slightly and the whole screen scrolls instead. On the old one this happened a few times but I could never get it to actually work when I was trying to do it. Only when I didn't want to.
