"Why I am a Republican"
I remember when I was a kid and saw some of the election results on TV (this was back in the day before government-enacted digital TV screwed us over). I knew that there was gonna be a new president but I didn't really get what the map meant. To my delight , my state was filled with my favorite color. I pointed to the screen and said "look mom, our state is blue!" My mom did not seem happy about this and said it would be better if there were more red states.
I did not understand. What sort of evil force was making my parents ditch the vastly superior color that is blue and instead opt for a mediocre red? In the years that followed, I learned the exactly what kind of evil I was dealing with: Democrats. I learned that, just as my parents grew to hate the color blue (the best color in the world), Democrats wanted us to hate the US (the best country in the world). And it didn't stop there. Democrats wanted to take control of every good thing, and completely ruin it. "Welfare" used to be a good word. Now look what has happened to it. Democrats have ruined it. "Welfare" now means keeping the poor dependent on you for money, so they have to vote for you or starve. "Health care" went from being a good thing to being an oppressive system under bureaucrats who want to decide who lives and who dies. "Right to choose" sounds good, right? No, they even screwed that up. Apparently choice matters when you want to kill someone, but if you want to decide what soft drink you can buy or what light bulb to use, they'll take that right away in a heartbeat. Crack addicts and prostitutes are glorified while businessmen (the backbone of society) and fat people (once a symbol of wealth and ideal prosperity) are now derided. "Freedom of expression" now means people should be allowed to flaunt their nudity, promiscuity, homosexuality, and general rambunctiousness in public, while if some guy wants to put up a cross on his own ****ing property some atheist has a field day. Well, I'm on the side of the cross. Our Lord Jesus Christ was crucified for our sins, turning the once-oppressive object of the cross into a symbol of eternal life and peace. Meanwhile rascally libs take every good thing mankind has ever produced and want to tear it down, because they're petty. They don't like it that people work harder than them and are more successful because of it. On top of that, they ruined the color blue and they want to ruin this country. I won't stand for this foolishness. That's why I am a conservative Republican and proud of it. God bless America.
