You have a right to get health care, not a right to health care. I agree 100%

Does that mean you only get a right to free speech if you can afford to pay for protection?

Does that mean you only get a right to free speech if you can afford to pay for protection? Everyone starts off with the right to free speech, unless someone takes it away. Health care is a service, which no one is born with.

Fair, it's not like bringing a cloth bag is hard.
Really though, I'm forced to wonder if plastic bags are really the best use of environmental group's time. Why don't they lobby for renewable energy or something worthwhile?

"The governor has signaled he's interested in signing a bill like this," said Tim Shestek of the American Chemistry Council, a coalition of plastic manufacturers and corporations including Chevron, Dow and ExxonMobil. "So our focus right now is on the Senate and hoping common sense prevails and the bill does not reach the governor."

Man not worthy of putting up criticism simply because he's a businessman? I'd be mad too if my job was going to be taken away, when there's no reason for it.

I'm pretty sure ExxonMobil is not going to shut down even if they lose the lucrative "California Plastic Bag" market.

Pretty sure you'd like to see them go out of business wholly, and support hacking at them bit by bit

Well, naturally. That's unrelated however.
