Dude that's 15 pages that would've been just as fitting in the 9000 topic. >

From some reading of mine...
"In a celebrated oration for liberty, published last spring in Boston, a maxim was recited...'NO MAN CAN GIVE THAT WHICH IS ANOTHER'S.'" -Isaac Backus, 1773
I like the sound of that.

I'll throw some quotes in "Socialism is the doctrine that man has no right to exist for his own sake, that his life and his work do not belong to him, but belong to society, that the only justification of his existence is his service to society, and that society may dispose of him in any way it pleases for the sake of whatever it deems to be its own tribal, collective good" -Ayn Rand "We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge, or gallantry, would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution was made only for a religious and moral people. It is wholly inadequate for the government of any other." -John Adams www.msnbc.msn.com/id/38958561/ns/technology_and_science-tech_and_gadgets/news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100902/ap_on_re_us/us_discovery_channel_gunmanX to the D

www.mercurynews.com/patty-fisher/ci_15977222?source=rss&nclick_check=1The bag ban debate? There's only one way to make it go awayYeah, but you're not worth killing. After a few months of whining, people would have learned to live with the minor inconvenience of carrying their own bags. And they would have stopped mourning the loss of those free plastic bags for their garbage and dog poop.So you want them to reuse the bags for that?... In a world of abortion and firearms, if you guys want to ban plastic bags there is something wrong with you. Businesses should decide if they want to use them or not. That's why the grocers group backed the statewide ban.Gooood for them then, they can get them out of the stores themselves instead of relying on their state to do it for them. But of course they're just whiny union members who can't and should not have the power to do that in the first place. Or exist, for that matter.

NZ started the bringing your own bags thing years ago, now most people pretty much use their own bags for shopping. Not bringing your own bags is just lazy, but then I don't live in America.

People in America have been doing this for years too. Good for them. Do not take my choice away.

I see a way to fix this, charge $10 per plastic bag, you still have a choice to get the bag, but it's an incentive to bring your own.

But then they could use the money from selling the bags to give free sex change ops.

Nah, it's an environmental thing so it'd have to go to saving the polar bears or baby ducklings or some other junk
