Suck it anti-statists.
Also, I'm moving to the CE region, because there I might be able to actually get a delegate seat again. >_>
See you Space Furopia, it's been real.
Course I might move back if it sucks, so watch this space.

It's not my fault that Nationstates doesn't understand the concept of non-free market economy. Apparently the only way to increase your nation's productivity is to give in to corporate demands.

I mean, surely an economy that was directed by impartial planners would be a lot more efficient than one that is being pulled in a million different directions by every tom dick and harry. As long as it wasn't retarded and based on fear like the Soviet Union (for example: central planners decided that bread should be a key production priority... so eventually it became cheaper for farmers to feed their cattle with baked bread than wheat.)

The economy isn't dead, they just get taxed to the point where everything they need is provided for them and and any luxuries they want have a low cost thanks to the taxes on everything.
Ergo, doesn't matter if no one has money, we're better off than you are, Mr. six-times-more-likely-to-die-from-corporate-smog-than-old-age.

erm you do realize that increasing taxes on a good forces the price of goods to rise or the producer would be bearing the entire burden of the tax (which wouldnt happen) taxes raise prices and cause an inefficiency in the market, always the government could use the tax revenue to subsidize the producers of necessary goods, like farmers are subsidized today, to keep those prices low, but that wouldnt extend to luxury goods

That's...not how it works, Jenneth. You're taxing them at such a high rate they can't afford any luxuries. And their money goes toward things like the green police saving trees at the expense of business development. On top of that you've banned what...meat, cars? That makes a huge dent. Your people live suck peasant lives.
exchange rate: 1 corporate token = $1.0979 vs 218.1470 golds = $1 unemployment rate: 3.19% vs 14.89% GDP per capita: $24,347.35 vs $84.90

Like I said, NS can't map nationalised industry effectively which is why are economies are so sucky. In reality you don't stimulate the economy with minimum wage reductions, you do it with technological advantage (which Shaoyuan is dedicated to) and strong national industries. It doesn't matter is foreign corporations balk at our business standards because all our industry is nationalised anyway and they can't just leave and go somewhere else. Sure our products will be more expensive to produce because we pay our employees decent wages unlike in Star and or Stripes but on the other hand our people aren't dropping like flies like they are, which means they have more time to develop skills, and actually be satisfied with their lives and jobs (since all the profit they make just goes back into the welfare pot rather than so the management caste can buy a summer home), and happy people are well known to do better quality work. It's not like they have no incentive to work either since you can still get a pay rise or pro/demotion in Shaoyuan, it's just nowhere near as silly as the real world.

Allowing cars to scoot around and pollute our cities was a bad idea in the first place," says Roxanne Jong-Il, a famous environmentalist. "The solution is to restrict private transport to main roads and motorways whilst funding a major urban public transport scheme.
