it's funny because she's a dogmorph... we totally havent done this joke 500 times already right? I like this comic but it gets on my nerves sometimes, it has a tendency to be totally 90's and unoriginal, I like to think webcomics in general have moved beyond the dumb child-could-get-it joke conventions of the funny page

sorry but the funny pages and the kind of stuff you find on them are shit, must we argue about everything today

and freefall is ostensibly an intelligent comic, it talks about (a bit of) science and ethical kinda-issues like machine intelligence... but seriously the jokes suck sometimes

also I know there's webcomic time and everything but I think Florence has only been on-planet for like a few weeks at most and the comic's been going something like 13 years now >_>

Ok, so he used the same joke twice but humor is humor, intelligent or not and no matter what it comes from (Like say Dinosaur Comics, it raises many interesting points of discussion and still ends it with "heh heh you said duty")

And I still laugh at the comics I see in the newspaper so I have no idea what you're talking about.

I think Freefall would probably benefit from switching to daily 3 panels to bidaily 6 panels personally (actually I think that about most comics that still have a distinct hint of nineties) but whatever

real newspapers (not counting the tabloids because they're basically coloring books for adults) don't even have funnies here anymore, I guess they went out of fashion.
