There didn't appear to be a topic dedicated to this subject already, so I figured I would start one. It can't be any worse than that other topic I started, right? I think I'll just dump a list, and let discussion come up on any of them if anyone is so inclined. I currently subscribe my RSS reader to, in alphabetical order: And what I used to follow before some catastrophic event in 2006, listed in the order in which I added them to my old local comic links page: Anything not marked ended, I don't know, because I haven't kept tabs on any of those since I stopped reading Everything in 2006. I've gradually started reading more crap, and binge reread all the stuff I resubscribed to from the beginning before adding a subscription. EDIT: Linkified.

What's that about a catastrophic event?

Oh, I sort of went nuts and had a psychotic break around 2006, and either before or after that, I cut myself off from the Internets and stopped using IRC altogether. I've gotten better, and gradually hooked back up with everything I left behind, and even added to my usual haunts with more idle places.

Wait, psychotic break, maybe we should hear more about that, it sounds like important character development... >_>

Somehow, I knew this topic would go off-topic almost immediately.
For now, let's just say that thanks to that, I spent a week in a mental hospital, then arrived at the conclusion that I need to take an antipsychotic medication which cost $500 a month at the time, but the generic now costs $250 a month. Thank goodness that I qualify for disability, which covers my medication 100%.
Christ, this forum is turning into my personal dumping ground. Maybe I should just activate my goddamn LiveJournal account again, so everyone can see all the crazy shit I posted between the time I registered for it back in 2001, when I stopped posting on it in 2004, and when I made all the posts private and sanitized the profile in 2006. Plus you would get to see another Internet name I used briefly, when I posted on some creepy Yoshi fan forum and site that eventually got featured on the Awful Link of the Day at Something Awful.

We all use this forum as our dumping ground
Anyway, as far as comics go, lesse
Regularly:
Dr. Mcninja Buttersafe Bitf (since it started. OG reader here) Awkward Zombie Xkcd
Sometimes Dinosaur Comics Cyanide and Happiness Penny arcade
When I remember Captain SNES. It's the only Sprite Comic that can be funny AND be totally awesome with a serious plotline, and retain its quality

What is psychotic though? I mean, my family all has depression, so, yeah, mental health issues brofist. But I mean what do you mean by that? Insanity, or, hallucinations or what?

Schlock Mercenary, for fairly light hearted sci fi stuff. A few recent arcs have been duds, though, and the new one seems to have entered right into the realm of creepy and uncomfortable. Gunnerkigg Court, for the mysterious setting of it all. Slightly Damned. Whoever thought a slow, plodding plot could be so engaging? I don't care about your missing gods or your lost siblings, let me see how your characters behave! Manly Guys Doing Manly Things, for successfully working against and fully embracing stereotypical manliness simultaneously. Surrealist Obituaries, merely a place for a madman to empty his mind of whatever schemes he concocts. Lots of fan material, all very good, if slightly wordy. One arc can be hilarious and lighthearted, others grim and depressing. Also, he somehow makes a Mary Sue-esque character work. I used to read Dr. McNinja and MSPA, but both kinda got too bloated for me to enjoy. Good romps while they lasted.

What is psychotic though? I mean, my family all has depression, so, yeah, mental health issues brofist. But I mean what do you mean by that? Insanity, or, hallucinations or what? I started to get really paranoid over completely random things, and also started having weird delusions. I thought what I'd do was, I'd read some Reader's Digest article about someone getting to tour the cockpit of a 747, then I'd go out back and look up at the sky, think it's fake, then suddenly think I'm inside The Truman Show. Then I went out the front door and started walking down the block and down the main street servicing it. Then when my parents heard I went out, and my dad decided to find me in the car, he pulled up along side me and I got in, and asked him to take me to the airport. He told me he was going there, but in reality, he took me to the hospital. At the hospital, I was checked in, and while discussing things with a nurse or such there, I said something like "Oh, I know what my problem is, I have dementia!" But that wasn't really it. Nope, schizophrenia is more like it. I also used to stay awake for long stretches of time and often fall asleep wherever I was, and sometimes had waking dreams. I had trouble differentiating those from reality at one point. And now I am leaking all my secrets to the Internet. What will I hold dear now?

Is there was good web comic thats not about furries, or games, or the internet, in fact no nerdy crap at all, and no memes or popular culture, and it's not meant to be funny, and the characters are not retards, and the pics are not drawn by a retard.
Just a webcomic thats got a really good story, like an actual comic book but I don't have to pay for it. And no mutant super powers either.

Don't be so whingey. You're a nerd too, admit it.
