15 years later I finished up Fruits Basket. So many plot threads left hanging... Two things. 1) Tohru: "I wanna see Akito!" Shigure: "No, it's too dangerous!" Tohru: "Oh, ok, I understand." Next scene... Shigeru: "Hi, we're coming over to see Akito, please make the necessary arrangements." Did I miss something, or is this supposed to be some dramatic variant of the Gilligan Cut2) Tohru is one of the most unrealistic ideals ever created. "Hi, I'm Tohru Honda! With a few kind words and a warm smile, I can resolve anybody's deep seated childhood traumas! Watch me make this hate filled monster over here feel better about himself..." Bonus Ting) Kudos to the production studio for failing to use any clips from the finale during episode 25's "Coming Up Next" bit. And for filling up 10 seconds of episode 24's "Coming Up Next" using clips that occupied all of 5 seconds of episode 25.

I just watched the killer clown episode of Extreme Ghostbusters but the clowns kept making the Spiderdemon's alert sound and I found it quite distracting.

Emoji Movie with bro - I don't get why they have to perform? Why not just take pictures? Why do only the protagonists make the phone malfunction, not the outside conversations/lives of every other character? Kids these days hang out at the phone store after school? How do you delete a troll, they aren't files?
"It's a kid's movie"
Well okay then.

Wonder Woman - decent DC, I would even say good. Better than Homecoming. A bit too long, a bit too bullet time, and DC characters will always be doofy but you already know that going in

Sausage Party and Baby Driver, both with bro.
...Really all you needed for Sausage Party was the trailer. The concept wears out that quickly.
Baby Driver loses points because I kept waiting for the baby to drive and we never got there. So sick of this false advertising!

I could tell that much of Sausage Party's humor essentially stemmed from, "Ha ha, the potato said the f word!"

^Don't forget the copious weed, it's Rogen
Romancing the Stone - the cover for this is etched in my brain because it was on the ads for Blockbuster at the store while I was held up with shopping parents. Wtf was it about? Now I've seen it!
The Princess and the Barrio Boy - and then there's this one, which I got off the title alone. Was it bad? The wedding planner character saves it.

Wrapping up the Frankenstein movies I've had around since last month:
Frankenstein - obvious best
Bride of Frankenstein - who thought the sequel was better and why? Wikipedia says this, I don't get it. He talks, and the bride is there for like a second. The characters don't play off each other much at all. Weird scenes like the mini king. It is also one of those unnecessary sequels where they bring both the dead characters back for nothing but sequel money. You know what somebody should do? Decapitate a guy and throw his head into a black hole - when it's time to explain why he's alive in the sequel, have the guy explain that his head grew back.
Forgettable: Son of Frankenstein The Ghost of Frankenstein House of Frankenstein House of Dracula
Basically they ran him into the ground and then combined him with other monsters later, either as the mindless order-follower to the bigger bad guy or the monster that only gets revived way toward the end and then instantly "dies" another time. Don't try to piece together what's going on - Frankenstein will always be found preserved somewhere and be revived, no matter what. And this is true of other monsters too. They're just back later on, despite having died in earlier movie(s).
I like the one where all it takes to set the lab on fire is when Frankenstein reaches for the mad scientist who's maneuvered himself behind a rack of chemicals, and a few dropped jars bring about a big explosion. Whose idea was that to have such an unsafe workplace? Then he gets crushed by the roof when the building burns down. Pretty soon they were just done with exploring the philomasophical implications of the monster itself, and he was just the sideprop servant or the guy they took all movie to bring back, only to die quickly once more.
Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man - meets is the right word. Briefly fights.
Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein - decent
Cyrus - people talking in whispers all the time. So the word for this is apparently "mumblecore." Reminded me of Scott Pilgrim. Scott Pilgrim sucked.
