Dragon Ball Z: Battle of the Gods
Typical pointless dumb DBZ stuff that, in spite of the stakes being claimed as being higher than ever, comes across as much less spectacular than what's already happened in the franchise. The introduction of the Super Saiyin God was limp, cheesy, and undramatic - pregnant woman to the rescue! - and the result looks like a pallette swap from some NES game.
But Beerus and Whys were enjoyable enough as characters. I kinda had the impression that the "random destroyer" schtick was mostly an act just so he could test the characters' meddle.
Overall, it was worth it to see Vegeta perform an impromptu song and dance, and to see Shen Rong panic.

The Polar Express is a movie that keeps acting like it is saying something profound but refuses to specify exactly what that profound statement is, partially because it keeps getting distracted by a bunch of gratuitous danger scenarios. Most of the plot is pointless filler, and it is dispecable how the conductor keeps deriding the main character for asking questions. At least the hobo is great.
