Five hours of copying down encyclopedia entries. Some things:
If a master was killed by one of his slaves in the Roman empire, all of his slaves would be killed unless the culprit was identified. If a slave comes forward to name the killer, he would have his freedom.
A free man who had a relationship with a slave would become a slave, as would their children, if he didn't break off the relationship after three warnings from the master.
Slave women could be sold with a provision they weren't to be used for prostitution. If this happened anyway, they could go free.
There was also a law that apparently let a someone kill a debtor who defaulted on his obligations. The creditor had to publicly announce the person's debt for three days, then if no family came forward to pay it the debtor could be killed. However, it's not really clear if this law meant what we think it does, or that it happened because we have no accounts of this in practice.
