People die, their possessions are often disposed of abruptly and you and I never know what they use it for. Maybe they buy booze with it. Maybe it just goes into their bank account and gets spent with the rent/mortgage/daily expenses. Most people aren't in a good state of mind when it comes to it and throw a lot out or sell it off quickly to people who don't mind taking advantage of grief.
I'm just making it known, here and now with my True and Honest amyfist ring on, that I hope my personal possessions are sold on ebay and my heirs buy the most magnificent Dragon Dildo available. If there is anything left, I wish for them to buy more Dragon Dildos, of multiple colors and textures. A Dragon Dildo party is how I hope everyone best remembers their pal Artard.

It had all the characteristics of fascism and not many of the characteristics of communism. I don't think it's an unfair statement. I'm not saying even that is the case, just it's not so black and white.

Authoritarian ideologies are often full of sasterisks and overlap, what else is new.
If you look at it the USSR failed the more it implemented communist ideas, with Lenin's brutality and a little letting up with NEP, with Stalin's whole liquidating the kulaks and screwed up collectives, the crackdowns on satellites that wanted a "human face," more freedom from the group, and Gorbachev's reforms which were a long way off from doubling down on a failed system. Wasn't it a while ago there were some Stalinists in some lefty group of yours?
This reminds me of a way Hitler vs. Stalin's governments were set up. Stalin was more like top of the pyramid, Hitler was described as a guy in the middle of a series of venn diagram agencies. Each one overlapped the other in some way and it would be up to Hitler to resolve the differences. I would say that's a more egalitarian setup but really, the dictators at the top guided it all. Sure there's similarities between fascism and communism (in membership shifts among other things), I don't dispute you on that, but it's a left wing thing Jakey. The right wing was the people of democratic societies that fought against fascism and communism alike.
