We can forgive a man for making a useful thing as long as he does not admire it. The only excuse for making a useless thing is that one admires it intensely. All art is quite useless.

Meh I don't know about that. It's easy to hurt and hard to get over being hurt.

Again no, it's easy to be abusive for a long time and hard to be abused for a long time.

eh, I see what you're getting at but I still want to argue because I feel there's more to things, but I don't have the time as I have to go write a bunch of essays on moral philosophers 'cause exam erm remind me to collect my thoughts on things later when I have the time because I do feel you can endure harm for longer than it can be inflicted (tons of examples of this) and being able to do so ultimately proves more useful

Notice how Republicans won't confront (1) Low or no-tax-paying corporations (2) Owners (3) Bosses (4) Billionaires (5) Wall Street or (6) any "authority" at all...(authoritarian personality, anyone? ) but they RUSH to bully and pick on teachers and firefighters, and immigrants and the most exploited. And low-birth weight infants. Why , you ask, won't Republicans confront any of these unjust forces ? Republicans are natural born cowards, down to the bone. Inside the bone. All the way!
