Desktop machine, and the desktop background I've been using for almost three years now:

I don't actually use desktop icons, I mostly use a console window and type paths with a little aid from tab completion. Those icons just happen to be shat all over my desktop by installers that either don't provide an option to disable the icon, or I forgot to uncheck said option.
