saw the new Mission Impossible suppose it was good for what it was trying to be, but my mind and heart were elsewhere at the time and action movies just don't work if you don't get into them

saw The Hunger Games ehhhhhh I guess it was okay all in all I felt the acting and writing were fairly terrible too many lines felt unnatural and were delivered poorly, I winced on a couple occasions all the futuristic bits felt silly and broke the atmosphere, hey let's just make giant dog-bear-rat-beat-things appear for excitement no, when you have people hunting each other you draw out the psychological aspect of it for 'excitement' which is another issue I had, I felt the characters were all pretty poorly developed I also felt the protagonist was terrible at making decisions and that the movie conveyed the message that it's okay to kill yourself if it'll be flipping off the state and a few things really bothered me she never picked up her fucking arrows jesus christ, retrieve them, especially when the bow is your freakin' lifeline that and the bit at the end where she shoots him in the hand complete and utter bullshit no way in hell that arrow would stop after just going through a guys hand, whoever the fuck wrote that has clearly never been around a bow and silly unrealistic things like that I might normally let slide, but not in this case, no pick up your damn arrows and know that when you shoot the guy in the hand you're also shooting your friend
all in all it wasn't a bad experience though meh

just got back from seeing Prometheus it really was a quasi-prequel and the fact that the stuff borrowed from Alien was close yet had differences was enough to irritate me continually all in all it was an enjoyable movie but it had a terrible ending and just kept raising questions without answering them also had a tooooonnnn of sci-fi cliche scenes wont go into any more 'cause spoilers in short wasn't great, but hey I had fun

just got in from Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter was it a good movie? Who gives a damn, it was fuckin' cool and fun as all hell and how many action movies have Lincoln on top of a moving train killing things with an axe? That's just badass but since it was a vampire movie ima bitch a bit about their portrayal of the monster even though I think they did it fairly well overall my biggest issue was the fact that the vampires in the film could stand the sunlight, modern storytelling needs to stop thinking it can get away with this but at least they addressed it however the head vampire, the character by the name of 'Adam' was one of the best portrayals of the monster I've seen in a while, just, I feel as though the actor did it perfectly but anyway the character dressed formally and classy, his movements were minimal and deliberate, he carried and air of confidence and the first scene you really see him do anything in pretty much sums up my thoughts there were some faults with lore and whatnot, but all in all they got the core of it down so nicely anyway, try and keep names out of it so it's not too spoiler heavy but still spoilers man and his wife/fiance/whatever are in a carriage, it breaks down, bunch of guys on horses ride up behind man gives the woman a gun and says to go, he walks towards the guys on the horses with a knife behind his back first guy gets down, goes to attack the man, knif'd quite a cool action sequence as the man is stabbing the vampire repeatedly, vampire grabs his hand, drops the knife and catches it in the other, neat thins like that, cool to watch Adam is revealed to be on one of the horses, he gets off and starts steadily walking towards the fight vampire goes down, man lunges at Adam Adam stops his arm and then hits him once, the man is floored some other stuff Adam grabs the man, bites his neck, walks up to the woman being held, grabs her and starts biting her neck while holding her up and doing a ballroom dance
or at least that's the gist of the scene, may have missed a detail or two, but you get my point
anyway movie was much more awesome than I expected and was wonderful to watch had its flaws, but who cares Lincoln killing vampires with an axe

Moonrise Kingdomit was long, it felt long, it had some minor flaws, but overall it was an excellent film and a lot of it resonated and was quite deep well worth seeing and well worth sitting through and well worth the pain from the terrible seats we had

just got back from Tedugh, was terrible 2 hours of 'family guy humor' it just wasn't funny, and there were so many moments where it should have just ended and goddamn, movie didn't even try for longevity, half of its jokes were pop culture references that'll be outdated and forgotten in a year or two bleh, only saving grace is that Mila Kunis is pleasant to look at, terrible terrible movie don't see it, it was trash, and not even enjoyable trash

Mila Kunis is pleasant to look at Blasphemy. It just might be that I've grown to hate her through her character on that 70's show but... I've grown to hate her.

The Dark Knight Rises need I say more?
also, saw the trailer for Oz: The Great and Powerful and it looks pretty neat, I'm intrigued oh, and got reminded about Django Unchained, fuck yeah Quentin Tarantino lastly, a trailer for Man of Steel got me interested because a superman movie by Zack Snyder seems neat
