Front Mission ... is primarily rooted in the turn-based tactical role-playing genre
I might be a biased brit but I sure as hell know my shit *airhorns*

A strategy game with light RPG elements still isn't a JRPG.

Aight man... Whatever. I'm still mostly right aren't I. >_>
My furious anger is mellowed by my sadness at the lack of any noise (or good games that is) from the MechWarrior franchise since like 2003.

If all the series you liked still made games you wouldn't be able to play them all.

Oh, I would find a way. Besides, there are only about a dozen or so quiet games/franchises that I really desperately want a sequel to.

You know, the thing that sucks about my love of speculative fiction shooters/strategy is that there's never any peace, and any time they want to roll out a sequel they just break up the progressive and well meaning system government they created at the end of the last game in a brutal civil war or genocide. I mean I know it's a shooter and all, so there can be no peace, and I like war games, but it sucks that you hardly ever see a good future in the media, since stories are all about conflict. Talking about a used future, anyone seen Akira? Am I the only one who thinks the concept of the first fifteen minutes was way better than the rest of the film? www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y77LpxCxifc(if you want the tl;dw just watch this until the music stops) youtu.be/fOnCvugJ4o4#t=2m22s
