So far I guess the 3DS controls aren't as abysmal as I assumed they'd be, but I don't like having to use shield+attack to grab or throw.
I also wish the demo let you disable tap jump.

I've been using Shield+Attack for a while now
Anyway, L is mapped to grabs.
Also, me and a friend tried Smash Potato. It's. Hilarious. The video wasn't kidding when it said Don't Die: The tree is literally a one-hit KO. Even at 0%. The game goes as far as giving the red lightning effects it usually shows when you get hit with a powerful move at high damage.
Also, Villager pocketing Pikachu's Thunder? Villager pocketing the cloud? This guy is too good.

I've been using Shield+Attack for a while now Anyway, L is mapped to grabs. Bleh, I just can't get used to that. I always used R and Z for shield and grab on the GC controller, just feels wrong to press the grab button with my left hand. |

The worst feeling was losing a wing right after the supply gets locked into being a laser upgrade.

You know, I don't think I ever lost a wing or needed to upgrade my laser past the first level.
Then again, I pretty much always just quit the game outright if I died once. All in one go, baby.
