Regular updates, no joke, just an inability to break the story down. Maybe "Volume 1" would be a better way to put it than "Chapter 1," but he used the word "Chapter."

What
I thought pumpkin pie was made out of the insides you scoop out of pumpkins and then you make jack-o-lanterns out of them now that they're empty?

The goop you scoop out is practically useless, although you can roast the seeds for a good snack if you can separate them. After Halloween, we cut the jackos up, roast the pieces, remove the skin, and mash up the remaining flesh. The resulting pulp is then used as the base for a pumpkin pie filling.
Frankly, I don't like pumpkin pie. It's something I put up with every year.

I like pumpkin pie more than the fruit based pies, at least.
It's a lot less annoyingly sweet/tart.
