I'm not coming from the angle of "impressing girls," I'm coming from the angle of basic social interaction due to personal experience: it really gets on my nerves when people offer me false praises to either get me to like them, or to make me feel better about myself.

I am now reading some web comics, via the Something Awful GBS Webcomics Mock Thread. Various shit. And every day, I post CharCole there. Whoo, boy. Reading such doozies as Gaming Guardians and Collar6.
EDIT: And Carpe Diem, a gay furry web comic by the same nutter who wrote himself into Gaming Guardians.
