If sound requires hearing, and no one hears it, it didn't make a sound.

Sounds that humans can't hear because their frequencies are too high or low still are still sounds.

yes but what if the frequencies were so high/low nothing that currently exists could perceive them?
you've no way of knowing if it's still sound that's being produced if nothing can detect it

yes but what if the frequencies were so high/low nothing that currently exists could perceive them? you've no way of knowing if it's still sound that's being produced if nothing can detect it No because you can detect particle movement down to sub atomic levels and beyond probably so so you will always know if there is a sound from vibrations. Another philosophical thingy bob that has been answered by science is the chicken and egg what came first, because birds evolved from dinosaurs. So it would be an egg first then a chicken later.  |
