That was my attitude for the last grand I spent on knives I think some sort of monthly limits are a good thing keeps the fun of getting new knives spread out too and I think 3 CRKs in a month is a bit overboard
but that raindrop damascus is gorgeous and a cocobolo mnandi would be a nice classy folder for rare dressy occasions and Chris Reeve knives are pretty awesome
but I shouldn't
but it's a pretty solid deal
but I'm also watching for an umnumzaan with an old pivot so I should take into account the potential to spend $300-400 at any moment and I'm watching for the ZT 0454 LE when that comes out
but I could still afford it
but I shouldnt
but knife
bleh

It's a cool knife. But 415 dollars. How long would you enjoy it for? And how much? I have no idea. More than like, 10 full length video games for the same price? Seems unlikely to me, but hey, I don't really know knives.

Don't worry, he has tons of untouched games in his steam backlog, too. :v

probably slightly less than my other ~$400 knives probably more than most games I buy, since most go unplayed or get very little playtime, plus there's something to be said for the feel of a knife in your hand probably get minimal pocket time though, especially since it's going to be hard to force out my startac umnumzaan for anything at the moment, unless I feel like a flipper in which case I have my 0561 bleh knives man, knives

But seriously, how do you get your worth out of them, just sit and polish them for hours on end? And what the fuck is a dress knife, like if you get robbed at a wedding you can still keep classy while you stab them to death?

If I'm in a suit and tie I'm gonna wear a nicer watch and knife than if I'm in jeans and a tshirt

Unless you go around showing your knife off so everyone can see it like a fancy watch then I don't see how it matters, and if you DO I think that's probably an even bigger problem

I actually thought about purchasing the god pack for some people because really outside of the occasional game and assorted expenses I basically only spend money on knives and other people

Give to charity if you have that kind of money. Do you really need it?

How likely is it you need to cut something at a formal occasion and they don't have knives there, like seriously? Do you carry around an ornate fork too in case you need one of them at a funeral?
If you want another $400 knife then just admit you've got an addiction, don't act like it's practical. I mean hell I like stuff that isn't really useful, just gotta be honest.
Charity is good though. It's as good a use for disposable income as any.

It's as good a use for disposable income as any. When does a collection become an addiction? It's a difficult and semantic distinction to make, I feel. It's not a problem, though, unless it's actively hurting him or someone else and it doesn't seem like that's the case. As good as it is, I find it incredibly difficult to part with my money by just giving to random people I don't know. I do give about 10% of whatever I get away, but it's usually to organizations I was a part of, like my high school or shul something
