From the title, I thought this topic was gonna be someone ranting about dating American girls...

lolno, metric's for robots. Imperial is for people. So unless the robots take over, we're safe.

Silly Tails, the Eurobots replace the worker and soldier at the bottom of the glorious Socialist pyramid. We let them work with their learning programming and hivemind while casually mentioning philosophical topics like 'freedom' to each other while they're there dusting the living room in the background.
What could go wrong!

But in seriousness, if a robot feels virtual pain, is that real pain? Is is cruelty to teach a robot by 'hurting' them if they do something wrong (as many AI researchers do)? I mean isn't our feeling of pain just an electrical impulse too?

I think it's okay. Because they're robots.

But that's not fair. If you turn them aganst the human race they'll kill both of us even though I was sympathetic. I saw it on The Animatrix.

Why would they be turned on the human race?

Not really because it's harder to tell how many zeros to add/subtract and less likely to find mistakes 10 millimetre = 1 cm 100 centimetre = 1 metre 1000 metre = 1 kilometre ....Hey, I see a pattern in this. Just add a zero after every step!

Why would they be turned on the human race? Because they have easy access to Wikipedia articles on freedom and philosophy, as well as the French/Russian revolutions (for example)

Scientists have determined that the best way for a robot to learn stuff is not via coding but experience. Hence most if not all robots in the future may have the capability to learn and absorb information. How long until we're all murdered by our robosexbots in our sleep? Okay, maybe that's just me then, but for you guys... vaccuum cleaners or something.

You'd only be killed by your robosexbot if you taught it autoerotic asphyxiation
