I actually asked a guy out one time at University. He was in my class. At the start of the semester the first time I saw him I though "Wow he is freaking hot" then for the whole semester I tried to talk to him and stuff, but it would not really work. I also found his facebook and stalked him a bit. According to his online profile he was single, so on the very last day of class and I was never going to see him again. It was just me and him outside class and I asked him out.
Anyway, this checkout guy, I could ask him out but it's just going to be extremly awkward.
First of all he's busy working. He works in the 10 items or less check out, so there is only like 20 seconds of time to talk.
There are always people waiting behind me. I don't want to ask someone out in front of an audience.
I don't know if he is single. Most hot people are taken. >_>
If I ask him out and get shot down I can never return to that place again, but they have really good deals and a wide selection of food.
And Finally... Im a scardy cat.

Hmm... Slip him a note telling him about what you feel and your number or email or something when you give him your money, like in the movies. Walk away before he gets a chance to read it. If he's interested he'll contact you, if not he won't obviously, but he'll probably not want to mention it to you and the next time you come in you can just pretend it never happened.
