Dear members of the Space Furry Destroyers:
As you are all aware, I have left. My posts are no longer accompanied by the charismatic, almost creepy grin of a malformed furret, nor the description or signature that contained a positive outlook on life. Indeed, my account has been deleted.
I did not quite out of anger; if I had, it would have come much sooner after my last post than it had, nor would it have been as hard to hit the "Delete Account" button as it was. I did not quit because I was included in a porno; I highly doubt the inclusion of that section would have influenced my decision much.
Did I quit over the intermission? Yes and no.
Right now, I have a number of issues in my life I am trying to deal with. However, I do not feel at liberty to discuss them as they are personal and private issues.
I have no one but myself to blame for clicking the link, and especially for reading it all the way through. However, clicked it I did, and read it I did. And I have to be honest: I felt I had defiled myself for doing so.
Again, no one is to blame for that but myself, so I am not mad at anyone. However, reading the intermission made me think about those things that are going on, and pushed me to make some decisions about them.
Unfortunately, the Space Furry Destroyers were included in those decisions. And leaving them was the decision I made.
I thought on this for a few hours, and afterwards, it was with much sadness I hit the "Delete Account" button.
I decided it would be best to do it without theatrics. No goodbyes, no explanations; be grateful you didn't get a hissy fit! Just cut and run, and then explain later.
I admit, it's been fun while it lasted. At least I got to see the one year anniversary of us getting together. But I had to move on sometime. I certainly will miss you guys.
I doubt this explanation will make things better. If anything, it will make some of you angrier, especially since it's clear I have chosen to maintain contact with TheWave. But I can't just leave you guys hanging, now can I?
Keep going strong, everyone.
