Oh boy, new training session: Vs. Everyone
Noctis vs. his entire party. Here we go
*gets decimated immediately like 5 times*
Yeah Noctis isn't built for this, hmm...
Let me try this
*equips shield*
*They literally can't do shit and I get free parries and openings to attack after blocking*
Holy crap this is overpowered
more importantly
THIS REAFFIRMS MY NEED FOR PLAYABLE GOOFY IN KH

I beat the first Kahuna and failed the Nuzlocke therein. I was expecting a water move from water crab at some point but he never did. He did have a Z move which I survived because I'm awesome. But then he starts doing these power up punches as my guy misses like 3 times in a row wtf. Turns out my Slowpoke aka Pink Barney could finish the job with confusion, good for him I was just pressing A.
So I won but I think I fell out of favor with the guardian Coca Cola because now I have to leave the island.

Carbink can die in a fire. I'm on the early cave where I feel like we'll get back to, once there's a legendary to be in that mountain view. Or maybe they just wanted to zoom way out for the view. Anyway, Carbink. 45 minutes in what were basically two rooms, advancing nowhere, three fights with super-harden dude plus friends. The call for friends part is totally gay, who did that, free move for them. Extra animation and long break to see if a friend will show up, bad for flow. How about I tag team one of my guys for an extra hit? No? Fine. Then you know they're always gonna call a friend the turn you're gonna catch them, and our trainer can't figure out how to throw a pokeball when there are two pokemon on screen. It's against the inside-bike rules or he has a mental block, whatever. The frame to pick your attack target stays up even after there's only one pokemon left on screen, which seems useless until the next turn when you know the first guy will call for a friend again. I'm 10 levels above these guys and it was like pulling teeth, not even worth it for the experience.

Nah, you'll want to give Carbink some cement shoes, they resist fire. Also for "The frame to pick your attack target stays up even after there's only one pokemon left on screen," this is nice because you'll avoid accidentally killing the wrong thing when you're chaining for shinies and better IVs.

Badge arcade is telling me about the Nintendo Switch big news thing tonight.
Spoilers: someone's going to tell Reggie or Reggie Muppet that he is doing presentation about switch but he is playing switch game, so he switches and plays it on the whole way there and then he plays it there and then he plays it on the way back and then he finishes it at home. Playin it THE WHOLE TIME. Produced by Mega 64.

Had a bad run in Pokemon Shuffle this week causing me to miss the first mega event in 2 years. I did a placeholder run but not the second try with items, so I got the consolation prize without the actual item. They'll repeat it at some point though. It was also an escalation battle week for Celebi and they always say you get rewards for certain levels and beyond - I only play up to the levels for the prizes they list. This was set to level 200 this time. That means 200 times playing that stage (although sometimes the Pokemon "gets mad" and lets you skip 3-5 levels). Between this and the other extra stages for the week, I got nowhere on the main levels and I'm so low on coins. I didn't even beat level 200 with all the items. So I had just a day to rebuild my coins for next week, and I'm already less than 10,000 again.

Judging by the demo, Freedom Planet 2 is going to be more of the same, but with slightly higher resolution and a camera that zooms out at high speed.

Yakuza 0 is goddamn amazing
I thought it was Grand Theft Auto in JAPAN
Actually the Yakuza are the villains, and it's an Action RPG
