In the sense that a game should be workable, sure. But once that basis is set there's not much of a difference.

Kennedy Park
This is a small, downtown park with gates leading northeast, southeast, and southwest. There is a sprawling, free-form waterpool surrounding a statue of John F. Kennedy in the center of the park.

What the hell? If they wanted a turnbased strategy Pokemon, a Fire Emblem crossover would have been much better/easier.

They couldn't do a FE crossover because no one dies in Pokemon except that one Marowak.
Not sure how losing a fight is handled in Nobunaga's Ambition since I've never played it, but yeah.

I stopped caring about Pokemon approx 10 years ago (after Gold/Silver/Crystal, Gen 2 I believe?) cos I got bored of the battle system. However, that vid makes me...interested...FFT style Pokemon fights? YESZ! Also, are there any other TBS kinds of Pokemon spin-offs that I should be aware of? Also: MEWTWOOOO!!!! Would like to see Ariados, Heracross, Scizor, Scyther, Pinsir, Sneasel, Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, Hitmontop, Primeape, Snorlax, Sudowoodo and possibly a few others too |

The Japanese have cultural history too? In most of the games I've seen they've just done US/European history or cribbed a generic middle ages theme.
