Ah. I believe I've already given my story. I found my way into Provo, Utah for education, but that didn't work out, so I stuck around trying to get a job. That didn't work, so my married brother informed me that if I moved out here to get a job, he'd let me stay with him and his wife. I got the job because his wife's cousin owns some McDonald's in this area.

Sexed up refers to making something more sexually appealing. Since 2003 it has been used in the sense of making something more attractive than it really is by selective presentation; a modern update to the phrase "hyped up". Variants include "sex it up". The implication is that no actual lying is taking place, but that spin is being placed on certain parts of the message.
That's a relief... I was starting to get worried about the politicians on TV telling about how they were all sexing each other up.
