I like this game because there's lots of variation.
When you fight someone, the way they play is a key factor in how you play against them and vice versa.
When people start using a character as best as they can, they don't play with any personal style, they just play their character.
It's no longer "Zetta's Falco", it's just "A Falco"; it goes against the very reasons I like the game.
For characters like Captain Falcon who has no one playstyle that trumps all others, there's usually no big problem.
...but when you throw in characters like Zelda (and Meta Knight for vBrawl) who pretty much only have one way to play effectively, it's just like playing a computer. There's no fun in it.
As Laharl has probably noticed in his matches with me, I generally avoid advantageous situations like getting someone in an ftilt lock with Snake or spamming utilt, lasers, and dair spikes on Falco.
Sure I could do it and win more matches, but that's not what it's about to me.
It's me versus them, not my character versus theirs.
