The recent snafu here got me thinking...

Over on the Brawl boards, we got along quite well. We had some good discussions, had fun, the whole nine yards. Of course, we were limited to the content of our posts, and we had to keep an eye out for Glutko McMod... But then again, wasn't that half the fun? It was weirdly exhilarating dodging him while getting 500 topic after 500 topic of random silliness on one of GameFAQs busiest boards with topicality. We were oppressed, but we were united; we were equal.
Unfortunately, the oppression could become a little great sometimes. Dodging the mods may have been fun, but it wasn't when we got caught. Now that we knew each other, we wanted freedom! Oh look, we can make silly topics here! Behold, images and hyperlinks to clarify the conversation!
But we were a band of rebels forsaking an authority. Sadly, we have just learned that we still need one. Those authorities... had to be picked out from us. Sadly, the rid us of the equality we enjoyed. We ended up becoming what we were rejecting, and that can cause some hard feelings.
I kind of miss the chummy feelings we had. :<
Note that I am not speaking out against Laharl's Wrath nor the moderators he has picked out. I am not suggesting a mutiny, and I am not suggesting a return to GameFAQs (although we shouldn't abandon it either; it's a good recruiting tool). I respect their authority, and in fact believe that they have done a fairly good job so far. I am simply making some observations. I just ask that they not turn this into an oppressive environment as well. And that Legend try to control his emotions a bit better. No hard feelings.
As for Tails82, I hold nothing against him. Yes, I'll admit he was starting to get annoying, but when he returns I hope he returns to form. It won't be the same without him.
This place can be a good place, and we will have some more growing pains. I just hope there isn't an insurrection by then where we kill each other off.
