but the AI's stats have to make up for the fact that it's the AI. The player can easily play better than AI if not down right abuse it. Depends, some AI is just broken, perfect aim, perfect sight, instant reactions, etc.

Generally the more complex the win conditions are, the less useful AI in general can be. Like, you can have the AI just always headshot anyone it sees, but then factor in you haven't taught it to walk yet and you're playing King of the Hill mode; the AI does nothing but guard the spawn room.
You get the AI to walk, but then you must factor in that guns don't tend to have instant rapidfire in these games, especially not the sniper rifles. If multiple enemies show up at once the instant headshot bot will still fail to kill all targets, as they will have been killed themselves.
So then you have to take into mind positioning and cover, to avoid running into multiple enemies at once if at all possible. Then there's the issue that, sometimes, you really do just have to rush in guns blazing. So you have to weight primary (win game) and secondary (don't die) objectives against risk factors. (if I do this it will help me win, but I die) Do I pop over this wall and kill one of them on the point in exchange for the others killing me before I can retreat, or do I wait until my own allies are in position to take advantage of the opening? So on and so forth.
Eventually even a bot as seemingly simple as "just get headshots" is a lot more complex than at first glance as far as being actually effective goes; this is why human players using aimbot cheats tend to do most of the walking on their own, and just have the bot read a click as "take over for a sec and kill the nearest target for me".
While I'm on the subject, it's why I can never really enjoy getting into high level fighting game play; there are only two factors, don't get opened up and follow every opening you make. When you get good at it there's a lot less human to it beyond the initial spacing war and a lot more "well I hit him with the low punch, I can link that into my launcher and get my combo out".

That's why I enjoy variety in my fighting games. The only combo-heavy fighter sI play are Darkstalkers, because that's how it's always been, Marvel, because it's also always been like that and there's enough character variety that it isn't a complete combo only game. Phoenix Wright, MODOK and Chris G's Morrigan are testaments to that. Melty Blood too, because there's both the reverse beat mechanic that makes combos more intuitive for the agressor, and the damage reduction mechanic that the defender can use so combos aren't be-all end-alls. Every other competitive fighting game out there pretty much just has different variants on "combo everything" though. It's fine if you like them but I'm sticking with those two.
Besides them, the only fighting games I enjoy are Injustice for taking the extra step to make the characters have unique playstyles and at least making the combos different (while they go by the same name, combos are counted by juggles rather then hitstun, Aquaman's power even plays with that mechanic by making him heavier. Also the damage decay is so great it's often times better to cut a combo short) Street Fighter III because it's WAY more focused on technique and landing hits, Garou for the same reasons, KoFXIII because it manages to be super fast paced and intense without making everything just combos (a lot of resource management though), and Samurai Shodown WHICH REALLY NEEDS TO COME BACK because it forgoes combos pretty much entirely and is more about landing that one good clean hit for damage, like an actual sword match.

Have you ever gone skydiving?
Nope. Dont want to either. I have no urge. Im not scared of jumping out of a plane or anything. Just well there are other thrills I'd rather have. Like even driving my car. Because its so fast and powerful It really gives me a little thrill when I put my foot down and zoom up to the motorway speed limit. Or like there are some steep as hills in some places I drive around in the work car and if I drive down them i get that I get that weightless feeling when i get to the bottom, its neat.

There are fun things, and there are fun things that don't kill you if the slightest thing goes wrong. I'll stick to the latter.

If someone was paying for me then sure, it's probably no more dangerous than driving a car regularly. But I can't say it's something I'm really seeking out to do.

I don't recall the Sony presentations ever directly mentioning Nippon Ichi games, so Nintendo wins by default. The Microsoft one might be fun to watch just for the shooters/kinect shitstorm they'll inevitably find themselves in again.
