Prooobably, though not on as high settings as now of course, but then the next gen consoles won't be running them at full either

tho its getting to the point in graphics where how much more can they do? they rereleased tomb raider on the new consoles saying that she has individual hair strand physics omg wow!
they need to do bigger levels and more things on screen

I agree, graphics are very good of course but people have neglected animation quality, this is where devs should really be focussing, it's lagged behind graphics (I suspect because graphics are technically easier). Even in very high budget games you still see such laziness - my pet favourite hate example, third person shooters where to reload your character just runs his hand from the magazine to his belt or wherever and back again, without actually taking out the magazine or putting one in or even having anything in his hand. I mean it's just lazy. Second example, things that float while connected to your character or others - ie wearable items or weapons that don't fit properly. I'd rather this shit was fixed (along with physics) than more polygons or whatever the fuck.

Maybe to an end user the two are similar, but you can have the most impressive rendering system in the known universe and still have it look like ass if your animators got lazy.

Then the graphics would suffer. All of the game's visuals fall under graphics, and animations are visual.
