That's the world we live in darling. Wouldn't it be nice if we all had a grand quest handed down by god but we have to find our own meaning.
Now which one is nicer?

Who says we don't find meaning under God?

Deciding on all you moral positions are values on the writing of some 2000 year old scholars who just wanted to institute a form of social control on the populace of the time isn't philosophy, it's just stupid.

Your ideas are just as old. Do you think values would chance over time?

Obviously they do, even fags like you who jack off to dramatic readings of the holy bible choose to ignore some of the more inconvenient things it says like not eating shellfish or being compassionate to the poor.

My ideas are mostly a couple hundred years old only but that isn't the point anyway, I came to them through rational inquiry and looking for viewpoints that agreed with what I already thought, not being told by my family and my community that I had to believe in them and coming up with reasons why I did later.

How noble of you not to sacrifice anything. No wonder atheism is so appealing to you, anything goes. The extent of your rational inquiry was what, drawing the laziest conclusion that didn't require any changes?

Oh, so what was your deep moral thinking that led you to Christ, if you just do everything you're told by the holy book to do you never have to think about any difficult problems ever again? At least I came to my position because it was right to me, not because it was easier not to think.

Atheism requires not thinking my friend. It's existential apathy.

No, I'm pretty sure it's thinking that leads to atheism. >_>

More like group x is illogical and has no idea what they're talking about, not even sure what they stand for and hold a philosophy (if you can call it that) long debunked and in the gutter. You can't even hide behind the masses for this one because they're one of the least popular groups. It's a willfully ignorant fringe.

"long debunked and in the gutter"? Not sure which side of the argument you're on, Mr. 82.

You cannot hold two completely opposite views as equal. One's correct, one isn't.
