They're plastic, you know, just like the ones you can get 40 or so of for one pound at the pound shop.

And then someone that doesn't understand what they're for sees you sitting there cheering over a box of blades.

Klein brand. Great for removing an inch of insulation for hooking wires up, but when prepping several feet for the scrappers, they are a pain to use.

On Monday morning around half past midnight, I ordered new Internet services from Charter Communications cable, and got it installed the same day, around 10:50am to noon. Performs about 65/4.4 out of the 60/4 I pay for, for $39.99/mo for the first year, then it goes up $20 per month. $29.99 for the installation. The two field techs who showed up in their two vehicles, proceeded to talk with each other about their morning and other jobs they'd already done for about 15 minutes before beginning my job. They also couldn't keep a lid on their profanity, which did not really offend my sensibilities, but seemed a bit unprofessional nonetheless. They hooked me up in right order, and needed to be told twice that I was keeping the existing coaxial cable intact for the previous service that was not being disconnected completely, and would still be serving TV and phone. I also had to move a giant cabinet full of DVD box sets, and I was in too much of a hurry to unload the whole thing, so it was a real effort for my lazy ass, all so they could drill a new hole behind it. And as they were verifying that the service worked with the new modem, they also loudly remarked how they didn't want to go on another job yet, because they were eager to go to lunch.
They also didn't bother to pass the user service agreement that should have popped up on the newly provisioned connection, so I ended up doing that several hours later.
They also commented on how my existing provider "sucks", and also told lies about the equipment. (Lie: Charter does not allow user supplied modems. Truth: Charter only allows approved brands/models of modems, but it's pointless to bring your own now anyway, since they supply good equipment, and the equipment is included in the base service fee, so you save no money by supplying your own. Maybe they thought this much detail would fly over the heads of most customers who were actually clever enough to consider buying their own equipment in the first place.)
