Groan. So here's how it went.
State site has one form for this. Form does not work. You find out about this after filling everything out of course, that it didn't save a single thing. Multiple tries and browsers. Thankfully the old application via mail worked.
A month later I get three email responses - you have been approved, you have had the approval revoked, and you have had it approved again. This is because somebody does not know how to read what year it is on my transcript and didn't think I graduated yet.
Part 2 hit today for any positions in the city, which strangely took longer than the state to get back. They don't know what year it is either because they think I applied in 2011.

was really excited about my new thesis story idea, spent two weeks perfecting it, thought I finally made a simple, brilliant, and fun little thing, spent all night and morning finishing the animation for it, spent all 3 hours of class patiently and excitedly waiting for my turn to review, teacher asked if I was joking and said it was shit and asked if I considered all the past successful thesises and if I really thought mine could be compared to them. Then he told me I should've stuck with the story I had before this-- the one he told me was really pushing it, would be really difficult to pull off, possibly impossible due to copyright issues, and might have trouble being submitted to festivals and awards and such. Didn't even critique it or try to make it work like literally every other student before me, just said it was incoherent and terrible and I should pass on it and go back to a past idea. He asked if anyone could defend me and find something good in it and even though people reacted positively while it was playing, not a single person spoke up. I spent the whole morning and class period just hyped up and excited to present my thing and in one minute I felt like someone shot me in the chest.
On the way out the door and down the stairs a friend asked me if I was okay but I was audibly choking up when I answered him that I was fine and it was just disappointing 'cause it was the only thing in my entire week/month that seemed to be going well, and by the time I slipped into the nearest computer lab moments later I was full on crying hot bitter tears and just grabbed a corner seat and tried to play it off and nonchalantly set up my workstation to get some work done that I couldn't get to last night 'cause I was working on the animation and just tried to hold it back and not be noticed.
Felt like absolute SHIT. I'm a good deal better now, but FUCK that was humiliating. I cry like all the time about everything, but I can't remember the last time school made me cry while I was still in the school. Ugh.

when you waiting for the right time and environment to sit down and get your work down cause its crazy at home and you woke up kinda late and then time is passing and suddenly its 6 AM and nothing has been done
not even mad just tired and annoyed why does time have to pass so goddamn fast when Im trying to take it slow

Pshhhhhhh I never did anything half as weird as the tumblr idiots are doing today, I always knew the difference between fantasy and reality unlike otherkin and made up gender/sexualitykin.
Did you know believing you're an animal is passe now? Apparently the hot thing right now is 'weatherkin'. Fucking clouds and shit. Christ.
