I download steam at a bad time (I can tell from lagness that windows update is starting up) it get all f'ed up and I might not have enough room for it but after waiting and end tasking a few things, computer works again with 8 gigs now open. idk it seems weird it'd clean that much once it got low.
As for problem resolution, I verified my email address and confirmed Algae's gift game but it still says I'm unauthorized outside steam.

Now my graphics are dumbed down and I get the "failed to connect to a windows service" message
Can't remember how I resolved this last time but might've been a system restore, though I don't have any restore points now. This probably where the extra space came from.
