First, I waant to say that I appreciate your bluntness. I truly do. Too many people are too polite these days, and it makes it hard to figure out where you stand with people. At least I understand where I stand with you.

Whatever sniping you are talking about, I apologize. If you are referring to the sniping about being predictable, that was in response to your sniping about me.

Saying that I'm a furry for having an animal themed handle and liking a that wasn't intended to be furry but became a thing among that group webcomic is like saying a man is gay if he is keen about how he is dressed. It's a very superficial judgment to make. I may know certain trivia, but knowing some bits of FurAffinity's history doesn't change the fact that I cannot tolerate surfing that site, and many other dedicated furry sites, for more than ten seconds at a time, because it is not within my tastes. Not because it is inherently inferior.

If I am looking down on them, it is not intentional. It is not for me. If you're into it, knock yourself out. Also understand that my own personal viewpoints have been chaning and maturing over the past five years. (has it really been that long?)

And as for the science bit? Yes, you'll find a few nutjobs who will try to claim that the universe is only six to seven thousand years old, but my impression is that we're very accepting of the world of science! As a matter of fact, BYU's science department teaches things the fundies would find extremely offensive. I remember hearing one story of some students who tried protesting that their BYU professor was teaching evolution, but were told by the dean to shut up and get back to class. You wanna tell me that the universe is really fifteen billion years old, and can show me your research? Sure, I'll take that! That sort of thing is very fascinating.

Yes, it does appear to conflict with what gets taught in Sunday school. And to be honest, I have no clue how to resolve the two! And those professors of religion who do all sorts of psuedo-scientific, logical contortions to reconcile the disparities are, in my eyes, nutjobs. All I can hope for is that some day it will all make sense.

There's a quote by someone, probably Smith, but possibly Brigham Young, to the effect that if you have truth, we'll gladly accept it. We are hardly the authorities on truth.

I meant earlier when you were saying that 'nothing is ever his fault'. I know it's a little thing but it rubbed me the wrong way, I get oversensitive when I feel like other people are 'ganging up' on me and all getting at me at once, blame childhood trauma or something, I don't know.
