Oh sweet mother of god, it can't look like that. I heard they were doing a show called Equestria Girls, a spinoff where the ponies are reimagined as humans, which I guess is sorta neat for the little girls of the world and good to sell toys, but sweet lord it cannot possibly look like that D:

I'm just being overly dramatic. I love being dramatic. At risk of sounding like a total fag, I'll say that I'm a lot like Rarity.

I know it's just a cartoon and that it's probably gonna turn out to be quite good. And the character designs are fine except the giant skirts and tall, phony boots bother me due to personal prejudice based off a certain someone I knew. The skin colors also look kinda wacky, it just doesn't feel very human. It could just be a way to avoid accidental racism and having to choose races for the gals/watch as the world explodes if they're all caucasian. And it'll sell toys, most likely. Who cares? It's different enough that nobody will confuse it with MLP or accuse bronies of watching it, so I know they won't really be whining about it much down the road.
