Reading about glaciers, and health insurance. Not what I wanted to do tonight, but at least it's out of the way now.

Reading The Short Bus: A Journey Beyond Normal. Guy goes around the country in the bus interviewing other people with disabilities. It's a bit crude what with the swears and all but there are spots that interest me, mostly about how history has treated the disabled and especially the ugly past of eugenics.

Efforts of bishops to stop the contraceptive mandate from taking effect in religious institutions, gaining some ground. Ends with remarks that liberty comes prior to government, not a privilege that can be given or taken away. The state is not to impose religion, but protect religious freedom.

Last month's Nintendo Power says Resident Evil 4 is the #1 gamecube game to get, but I don't normally swing for that type of genre.

No seriously, go for it. It's damn fun and not scary at all.
Get the Wii version if you can though.

Bits from the news
"Fracking floods wells with chemical-laced water to free trapped gas"
...what.
"A man who held a Kansas couple hostage while fleeing police is suing them, claiming they broke an oral contract made when he promised them money in exchange for hiding him."
lol
"Medicare to pay for obesity prevention"
what a waste
"Some supporters of a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution are turning to a method last used by the founding fathers: a constitutional convention. And they're already halfway to their goal. At least 17 of the 34 states necessary have petitioned congress for a convention to propose a balanced budget amendment."
Sweeeet. Though that would just be the first step.
