How much work would I need to put in to be a part of this.

OKAY, IT'S GO TIME PEOPLE (like I said the rest of you can still sign up if you want but I want to start this so it gets some momentum)
9:34 PM Mattias Hendrik, a fast riser in the Kyusha Protection Squads, scratched his unstyled stubble as he watched the City's shuttles fly past his unit's balcony. The full moon shined off their chromed hulls, but even on the darkest night the plethora of lights would be visible. He was jittery, and just waiting to get off shift in a few hours. For the last 47, he'd been dosed up on stimulants to help the main company quell another food riot. They were getting even more frequent as the weeks went by. Sometimes he questioned the value of what he was doing, but what else was there? His parents had disappeared not long after arriving in Radius, and he'd been living rough until he was invited to a mercenary trial by a Kyusha bot. For the first few months he'd been so glad to have a place to sleep he hadn't worried about what he was really doing, but- *BLEEP BLEEP* It was the company alarm! Mattias shouted to one of his squad to see what was going on. "Apparently we have a situation at... a press conference, Sector 68, Aquinas Labs." Mattias sighed. "They paid up?" "Says so, sir." "Alright!" he shouted, with a voice imposing for his age. "We've got a deployment, and apparently no intel, so weapons hot and into the shuttle!" As he gathered up his own equpiment, Mattias wondered what would be waiting for them at the labs...
(oh no, I'm such a geek now >_>) (anyway, I'm thinking, high strug rebel, shady biotech company, unstable compound and a press conference, you do the maths)

I don't know, you'd have to create a character which takes like 10 minutes, then just participate when you're involved. I don't think you'd really have to post more than you wanted to.

So do I write my character's own situation or

Yeah, basically. Yours would be dated before mine obviously. It's considered impolite to do anything to another player character without letting them decide what happens but in this case we have a plot to fit to so you may as well get to it. Feel free to exposition on why you're doing this, how you came up with the plan, and how you're pulling it off obviously. You've got a bit more to write than me, so good luck I guess. >_>

-Miles P. Rower Builder of inventions and all that. His peaceful forest village was once threatened by an insane dictatorish robot builder, and he has grown to distrust government from that experience. Gets a hardon for free market and manages to escape the corrupt nationstate in his makeshift plane. Arrives at silly floating land and wishes to use his skills to get a good job and live the American dream, in another country if that is at all possible.

Unknown time, unknown date
The grating of an air vent (especially important in an underwater city with oxygen having to be pumped at times) in a backroom at one of Newslink's branches go loose. Enter GM, who hangs out here all the time to keep up with the happenings. Although collecting dust, it's used very frequently to keep hard copies of news data, as backup in case the Extranet goes awry. He knew the Extranet though, their's very little chance anything could happen to it, even if he does it. And even if something does, the data can be retrieved.
He shifts through the yet to be sorted stack of papers on a desk in the middle of the room, which were always recent news.
"Hmm? A new corporation to take down? Aquinas... biotech... a special surprise? I better look into this."
A different time, a different place
"Ha! Aegis spends too much time developing high end software... they don't have enough time protecting their computers."
Using his own laptop and appearing as a company computer to the local network, he looks around with ease. Hacking isn't easy, but he's done this many times before it's become almost routine.
"Yup... affiliation with Aquinas. No doubt a company just starting isn't very secure about it's data."
Looking around on Aquinas' own hard disks, he looks through everything he can. Deciphering scientific crap, he realizes what the natter's all about.
"Using a dangerous compound to transfer traits of animals... to humans? Testing on humans, as the company believes it's cruel to do it to other organisms... candid testing? They're going around turning people into animal freaks!?"
GM saved the documents and logged out. He needed to do something.
Today, 7:00, Aquinas labs ventilation
Having gotten a hold of whatever unstable compound was being used to turn people into animal freaks, GM tries to get familiar with the maze of airducts in this new building. He had heard there was a press conference and tried to find out where it was being held. About two and a half hours later, he does indeed find it. Hiding still in the ventilation, he sets his plan in motion.
"Candid testing, eh? I'll make my own experiment..."
He jumped out the ventilation amongst the newslink journalists and the aquinas scientists.
"WE'LL SEE JUST WHAT THIS REALLY DOES TO PEOPLE!"
He opened his can of the substance and sprays it all over the crowd, than escapes all the gasps and heads down a hall, stealing a security guard's weapon in the process
WHOOP WHOOP WHOOP WHOOP
He takes out his favorite cardboard box and hides with some cargo, ready for his next step. Just now to wait...

Aww hell, I have to type stuff? I was assuming this was a "game master says X happens, your reaction?" type deal. Soooo... *ahem*
Same bat time, same bat date
"Through the use of our advanced chemical linking procedures, we are capable of creating many synthetic substances once thought impossible outside of..."
This guy just drones on and on about the science behind the stuff. All you did was ask "Is this safe?" and the guy has been speaking for twenty minutes now, not really touching on your question at all.
"...so as you can see, the synthetic biogenic substance induces rapid structural changes in the... do any of you hear that?"
"Can't hear much over your speech, man, and you didn't even answer me. Is this safe?"
He looks a little nervous. "Why, of course it's safe, heh heh, why else would we be testing on humans already?" He looks up. "Are you sure you guys don't hear anythi-"
Some guy jumps out of a vent and grabs the demonstration canister. "WE'LL SEE JUST WHAT THIS REALLY DOES TO PEOPLE!", he says, just before spraying you and everyone else in the room with its contents and running off.
The speaker is looking even more nervous. "Oh... oh hell no. NO. NOOOO! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!"
You suppose he was lying about the safety thing. "So... what did we just get contaminated with?"
"Only the undiluted source formula! You know, the one we mix with one hundred parts water before giving someone a teaspoon of it?"
Most of the rest of the crowd has collapsed, but one speaks up. "I don't... feel so great."
"Yes, yes, if you'd been paying attention at all you'd know the process does not 'feel so great'. I mean really, what am I standing up here explaining to you people if not exactly... what this..." He collapses.
You feel kinda woozy, and pass out.

One caveat... Radius is above the water not under it, though I guess there could be a few underwater sections. Otherwise good effort all, I forgot to involve hacking before and it's like a key tenet of Cyberpunk. >_>
9:39 PM While tightening his ablative body plate onto his chest, Hendrik and his men hear the shuttle's radio opens up. "Unit Gamma 45, this is control." Triggering the reply automatically, Mattias speaks. "Roger control, have anything for us?" "Aaa-ffirmative, the security system's telling us that there are multiple unconscious on site, and that there may be a biological agent loose in the air. This counts as prior notification, so get your rebreathers on tight, we're no longer liable." "Do you have any clue what happened?" "On playback we caught an anarchist element on camera earlier in the day, but the cameras were disabled shortly after he appeared. Expect him to be your target." "What's our situation on the wounded? We only have enough medical gear for the squad." "Roger that, your job is to apprehend the suspect, we'll send a medevac unit out to the complex to treat the injured as soon as we can negotiate a payment agreement with their shareholders." "Right..." "Oh, and you now have full authorisation for lethal force on this mission. Good luck." The click of firemode selectors being swapped fills the personnel bay.
9:46 PM As the transport bay door opens, Mattias and his squad hit the ground running, and move to the service entrance of the Lab complex. After they line up against the door, he swipes his emergency access card against the door's reader and directs Tahouri Luisine first and then his squad to clear the corridor. Thankfully, there was no need for her explosives.
Nkruma Tadenda, the squad's medic, is first to locate the press hall, and trains his flechette rifle inside. "Clear!" He announces, in a light South African accent. "Let's move!" Mattius shouts, pointing his left hand to the door. As he moves inside, Tadenda is already inspecting one of the victims, a smartly dressed young woman. "Something is happening to them. Their physical structure seems almost unstable!" he says. "Not our problem. Hit her with a stimulant and let's go." "Hey. This vent's open, check it out." Luisine points her shotgun to the ceiling. Mattius adjusts his head up display as he observes the scene. "Alright. This rebel's definitely come down from this vent here, and probably released some kind of compound. It seems to have knocked out everyone here..." He points his carbine at the floor. "So who caused these marks in the solution?" "Look." utters sniper Lucas Temple simply, pointing at a beat security guard slumped against the wall. He throws Mattius the empty pistol holster. "The trail leads that way, and he's armed. Let's go, before we lose him. None of the sensors detected him leaving the building, but then again, none of them counted him in either. Stay alert."
Their heavy footfalls and commands make a loud enough noise for anyone in that area of the facility to have heard them...

Aww hell, I have to type stuff? I was assuming this was a "game master says X happens, your reaction?" type deal. Soooo... *ahem* Well this is only the starting, once things get really moving, I assume it'll become more like this. Right Nitro? <_< Anyway my post right now is gonna be short. 9:46 "Ah... here are they are. The pitter patter of the innocent soldiers, unaware of the effects of what they are doing in the large scheme of things. But before I get too philosophical" He listens 'til the sounds get ever closer. *Grrrrrrrrrowl* The box shoots up as he pounces on the nearest soldier, pinning him to the ground. "Gah! Get off m- "Shut up *ROAR* I've been fused with the fiercest of animals!" He quickly makes a fierce swipe at another before getting up and running through, bandit shooting (he doesn't need to aim, it's an entire crowd of armored enemies) and showing the agility of a lion to get them to fire upon each other.

idklol, never done it before. The fact that we're all on mostly unrelated sides so far doesn't really help. For simplicity's sake it would probably be easier if we partied up at some point... Though I don't know how that would happen.
oh yeah, and update tomorrow.
This might be a good time for Zetta's as of yet unnamed character to start waking up, as long as she either doesn't come into the hallway or comes in right after GM's post. >_>

ah nvm
Mattius feels a sharp pain as the... thing jumped off him, but was startled by Luisine's shotgun ringing out, and a crack of Ablative plating.
"AGHH!" Screams Tadenda, knocked to the ground by the impacts.
"Shit! I thought I... had him! Shit!" Cries the demolitions expert, twitchily scanning the doors and windows.
"Dammit Luisine!" Sometimes he forgot that he was working with people with in some cases less than 6 weeks training.
"I- he was so fast!", she protests.
"Shut up, and get him out of here! You'll have to..." Mattius checks his onboard map. "Use emergency exit D, we'll cover you!"
"Got it..." She mutters.
"He went through the corridor there." states Temple matter-of-factly.
"Forget him for now, we've got a man down. We've got to get out of here, now."
"Hugh... Agh! Don't you people know... ffbasic first aid?... Hit me with one of these gene packs first..." rambles Tadenda.
"Temple, I trust you with this, stay here and do what he says, Luisine, we're on a hunt and destroy."
"Yes." he replies.
"Boss... you're hit." says Luisine, pointing to Mattius' pelvis, where the standard issue armour segments. He draws his hand up from the wound and grimaces at the red stain on his combat gloves.
"Ugh... Well, unless you're volunteering to kiss it it better we better just finish this fast, since you shot the medic." She glowers as he turns to Temple. "Radio Command for a-" He sees Temple just finishing a radio call.
"They paid up. Medical staff are on the way. But; the life signs of the casualties in the press hall are dipping." he replies.
"Well, there's really nothing we can do, now. Let's move." Mattius moves forward down the corridor as Luisine follows.
However, after several minutes of fruitless searching, the PMC starts to feel increasingly faint.
"Luiss... I don't feel so..."
"Hendrik!" he hears, fuzzily.
Suddenly the world spins horizontal and goes black.
